September 2018

Congratulations to the organizations who received Responsive Grants from the Legacy Foundation of Southeast Arizona (LFSAZ) and the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) of Cochise at the Cochise Celebrates Giving celebration!

The Legacy Foundation awarded 16 organizations with grants totaling $59, 548.  In collaboration with Arizona Community Foundation of Cochise who awarded 17 organizations, over $100,000 was given at this year’s celebration.

The Nonprofit of the Year this year was awarded to Southeast Arizona Health Education Center (SEAHEC).

The Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Mike and Lori Rutherford of Lori’s Place.

A beautiful presentation in memory of Chuck Hoyack was provided by his family. Chuck was an extraordinary member of the community. Chuck was the Dean of Cochise College, actively volunteered in over 30 organizations and was Chair of the Board of ACF, Cochise, until he lost his battle with brain cancer almost a year ago.

Nonprofits across the county were recognized for the work they do in each of their communities, often without much appreciation or recognition. Communities are greatly benefited by the services that nonprofit organization provide. We greatly appreciate all the work that you do and the difference you make in the communities you serve.

Congratulations!
