The Legacy Foundation of Southeast Arizona awarded 12 nonprofit organizations a total of $534,125 in the FY 2021 Innovative Grant Cycle. A virtual grant celebration was held on January 26th recognizing each of the organizations.
“We congratulate each of the nonprofit organizations who received an Innovative Grant award. We had over $1.7 million dollars in Innovative Grant requests from 25 organizations. Through an evaluation process, the Board selected these 12 organizations as the grant recipients. The projects awarded this year are very diverse and from all over Cochise County”, stated Margaret Hepburn, CEO of the Legacy Foundation.
Even in the midst of COVID-19, the Legacy Foundation has continued its grant cycles. “With COVID-19, it’s been a challenging year for everyone. We recognize how hard nonprofit organizations work to continue to serve our communities through these difficult times”, commented Mrs. Hepburn.
