Legacy Foundation of Southeast Arizona

Thank you… for all the work you do

The Legacy Foundation’s annual Holiday Event was held on December 5th at Cochise College, with invitations sent to nonprofit organizations across Cochise and eastern Santa Cruz Counties. Sponsored by the Legacy Foundation, the holiday event is an evening of fun and is a way of saying Thank-You to nonprofits for all the work they do in their communities each and every day.  The evening featured a murder-mystery-comedy theater performance.

The evening began with live music by local musician, Brandon Sanchez. Singing classic songs and classic carols, Brandon’s music greeted attendees as they arrived.

Appetizers and dinner were catered by Aladdin Catering of Cochise College. Featuring Mexican-themed foods and an assortment of desserts, the spread was delicious!

Cochise College sponsored the venue, decorating the room and the tables in festive fashion, with a roaring fireplace on the tv monitors and glittering table décor all around.

Attendees were entertained by the Fault Line Players performing a spoof about the attempted demise of Ebenezer Scrooge. The performance included audience interaction and participation, with hilarious improvisation. There were even “guest” appearances by Kojak, Mickey Rooney, and the father of Indiana Jones! Our very own Board member, Iwona Snyder, officially launched her acting career in addition to performances by Sierra Vista Mayor Clea McCaa, Salvation Army’s Heather Baze, Cochise County’s Joe Casey, and Benson Hospital’s Gary Kartchner.

It was a joy to get together in-person and meet up with friends and acquaintances. The Legacy Foundation wants to remind its nonprofit partners to never forget the difference that they make.

Wishing everyone the happiest of holidays, a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.
